lazy nicole.

recently it's became apparent how often i say i'll do something and then just don't bother out of sheer laziness. it's frustrating because i'm aware i'm doing it, and it annoys me but yet i still can't seem to muster the energy to pull myself out of this crappy life cycle. i'm hoping if i blog about the things i want to do maybe, just maybe, that will give me motivation to actually do them for a change. it's worth a try, right?

SO..

i'm going to learn how to use the wii fit this morning and then i'm going to use it every morning. yeh, EVERY morning.

work.

i need a new job. like now.

preferably one that doesn't discriminate against you because of your age.
apparently the fact that i'm only 21 means i won't get taken seriously or listened to in my current job despite the fact i have been there for five years. FIVE YEARS!

why won't they listen to me?
:(

RAAAAAWR!

that is all.

sunny salou.

i just got back from two weeks in salou. the holiday went so fast i almost can't believe i'm home already. we managed to fit in so much - three days at PortAventura (universal theme park), the water park, barcelona and we even managed to throw in a few days at the beach/pool. it was amazing. (:

when we stepped off the plane it was really cloudy and i admit i had a small hissy fit. i mean who goes to spain for clouds? i had no need to worry though because the sun was out by the time we had picked up our luggage and got to the coach. the first week wasn't too eventful or interesting to anyone other than us so i'll keep it short. basically we did nothing and it was awesome. just hung out at the pool and chilled out. we were basically just happy to have each other to ourselves for more than a few hours. we watched the scotland vs macedonia match in this cute british bar called Buddy's & Co. where this woman - she can only be described as nancy from oliver - kept asking us if we were ok like every two seconds, she was super nice though. it was funny how watching the scotland games abroad made me feel very patriotic. i would have been running around with the saltire wrapped around me, waving irn bru around in my hand and singing the proclaimers if david would have let me. sadly he didn't.

we went to barcelona one day in the second week which was basically my highlight of the entire trip. the train took just over an hour which wouldn't have been too bad if we hadn't had to stand the entire journey, bad times. when we eventually arrived we headed straight for barcelona cathedral. i don't think i was very fair on this cathedral tbh. i compared everything in it to notre dame which is one of my favourite places ever. my favourite part about this cathedral was the garden thing outside which had dozens of swans, fish and turtles. animals in a cathedral? i have no idea why a cathedral needs turtles but i loved it. i guess i'm a bit of a sucker for animals :D

after that we headed to La Rambla. i've been a lot of places and seen lots of things but have never seen as many weird and wonderful things on the one street like you do on this one. on one side of the street there was a performer dressed up as something quirky or scary every few feet.

this was my favourite one just because the poor guy had to sit with his scants down all day! =D

on the other side there was all these different stalls selling animals. there was rabbits, pigeons, turtles, cockerels, chicks, guinea pigs. you name it they had it. i'm not sure how ethical it is to sell a chick for one euro though, it didn't seem right to me =/ i told my dad about these and my dad said people probably bought them to eat. TO EAT! i told him to stop being so negative and that they'll all be going to a loving home and will live a long happy life, i realise i'm in denial but it keeps me happy. anyways in the middle of the street there was this cute little food market which basically sold every kind of food in existence. i've never seen so many different types of fish, it was awesome. we kept ourselfs entertained by taking pictures of all the funniest ones, mature i know =P

we did so much more that day including the Sagrada Familia and the Parc de la Ciutadella but i'm getting a bit fed up with typing so i'll leave that story for another day.. maybe.

when we got back to salou the rest of the trip went ridiculously fast and before i knew it i was back in my empty bedroom typing this blog.

pfft.

i wish life could be one big holiday.
